Christian Response to President’s Obama Support for Abortion

Here’s a heavy message from Dr. John Piper with a powerful word art video.  As Dr. Piper says, we really need to pray for nation’s leaders, trusting that God is sovereign and that He’s in control.  The Apostle Paul says that we must submit to the governing authorities because God has established them (Romans 13:1).  Is there a reason why God has allowed our government to be a government that supports abortion?  I don’t know.  God is god and he’s sovereign and I know that he can use anything to achieve his purposes.  Maybe our nation’s leader’s will watch this and become more wary about the position that they espouse.  What really scares me though is President Obama’s line of reasoning regarding the abortion issue: “the government shall not meddle with private family matters.”  It’s scary that he can use powerful and good sound reasoning to persuade a country to legalize the killing of our most helpless citizens.
